Judo blackbelt Gabi (5'5 / 192 lbs.) makes her highly anticipated Absolute debut against BJJ grappler The Spoiler (6'0 / 225 lbs.) in this excellent, fully competitive clash between two very strong heavyweights!
While Gabi's Judo experience translates well to submission wrestling in certain situations, her mat-based grappling skill isn't particularly high. That said, she is so incredibly strong she's able to secure submissions from her larger, and more technically skilled, opponent by simply over-powering him at times.
And it's a sight to see!
Arm-bars, rear-naked chokes, head-and-arm triangles, triangle chokes, sankaku jime, hand-over-mouth smothering, hand-on-throat chokes and a lot more highlight this gruelling back-and-forth match that sees a surprising number of submissions ultimately racked up by both fighters ahead of full-time.
