Ava is a novice-level technical grappler but she's very strong and, perhaps most importantly, she's tenacious and quite stubborn. And that approach elevates this match from what might otherwise seem a one-sided affair to a fight that sees her larger, more skilled opponent in peril on numerous occasions!
A variety of crushing head-scissors, body-scissors, triangle chokes, rear-naked chokes, hand-on-throat chokes, and hand-smothers are employed by our combatants over the course of this one. At one point Ava even manages to transform a bulldog choke attempt into a surprising modified omoplata (shoulder lock) and reverse head-scissor combination - something we're pretty sure we've never witnessed before!
While one fighter jumps out to a sizeable lead that could make the outcome feel all but certain, the other begins to mount an astonishing comeback that should impress every spectator. Does the rally pay off, though, or fall frustratingly short at the final bell?
